The Roderic Deane Show: Interview with William Jacobson

Join me tomorrow on the Roderic Deane Show. I have an interview with William Jacobson of the Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion blog and other guests.

You don’t want to miss it!

The show goes live at Noon ET at: The call-in number is (310) 982-4283. Join in after the interview and speak your mind!

Rallying Cry or The Day We Died?

It’s taken me quite a while to digest yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare and I must admit that I still have indigestion. Try as I might, I am sorely troubled on so many different levels.

Last night, I had a talk with my 19 year-old son about the ruling after watching the Hannity Show. As you might imagine, he had no idea what had happened earlier in the day, which is a separate concern. Nonetheless, I explained the gist of the ruling to him and why it should and does matter. Even though he nodded in agreement with what I was saying, how do you convey to a teenager the absolute urgency that comes with this November’s election? While I know that we must vote with our future liberty in mind, to a teenager, that idea is an abstraction.

The slow creep of socialism and the subsequent, incremental losses of liberty seem hard to fathom if you don’t have the proper historical perspective. Sadly, too many Americans have been deprived of the knowledge of our exceptional history through either wanton indifference or a failed educational system that de-emphasizes that history….on purpose!

How can ANYONE that calls themselves an American accept the appalling consequence of one man’s interpretation of the United States Constitution that is so flagrantly wrong and so disastrously consequential? Chief Justice John Roberts’ interpretation of the individual mandate’s penalty provision as a tax is a seismic shift in the spirit of our Constitution and bastardizes its meaning. If the Chief Justice was interested in creating a legacy for himself, he has succeeded mightily. I can only hope that future generations of Americans will develop the tradition of spitting on his grave.

Now we are left with a final option called an election. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that a Republican White House, Senate and House of Representatives will actually overturn Obamacare, despite current assurances that they will. After all, we never dreamed that Chief Justice Roberts would rule the way he did either, did we?

What will this day look like upon 50 years’ reflection? Upon 100 years’ reflection? Will it have represented a rallying cry to a freedom-loving citizenry that turned back the march of socialism in our country, or will it represent the day we died as the world’s most exceptional nation in the history of mankind? I guess we’ll know by who’s graves are spat upon.

Governor Palin said it best via Twitter:

Obama lied to the American people. Again. He said it wasn’t a tax. Obama lies; freedom dies.

(Special note. I’m don’t really advocate spitting on anyone’s grave. It’s merely a metaphor.)

A twisted mess…

I can’t convey to you all the ins and outs of the Brett Kimberlin story. It’s just too weird! What I can do is turn you on to Stacy McCain’s reporting. He has done a great job of keeping the story alive. Others that you can tune into are Patterico, Allergic to Bull and others.

Folks, our 1st amendment rights are under assault and the only way we can hold back the hordes is to stand up to them and say “Enough”!

Holder prepares for contempt vote

According to,

Embattled Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. refused to say today whether he would consider resigning if a federal probe into the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ disastrous “Fast and Furious” operation threatens President Obama’s re-election.

The question was posed to Holder by a Herald reporter at the Seaport World Trade Center, where he delivered a keynote address on the state of civil rights to a packed room of federal prosecutors and local law enforcement. Holder kept on walking and didn’t answer.

In just two days, the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to take a historic vote, potentially to hold Holder in contempt of Congress for allegedly refusing to turn over documents about the two-year gun-tracking investigation in Mexico that resulted in the murder of a Border Patrol agent.

Aaron Walker got SWATted last night!

I take one night off to tend to things unrelated to an online presence and a significant event takes place. I’ve written about Aaron Walker and his willingness to fight back against the “lawfare” being waged against him by convicted Speedway bomber Brett Kimberlin.

Well, at approximated 5:44pm ET yesterday, Aaron Walker became the latest victim to the criminal act known as “SWATting”.

According to Aaron, posting at his Allergic to Bull blog:

I was writing when there was a knock at the door. A second knock came and it was very insistent. I went to the door and looked through the peep hole and there was nothing. I said something like, “hello?” and someone firmly said, “open the door!”

I opened up to find two cops hugging the front of the house. They had M4’s as I recognized from video games (see?! They are good for something!) and they later confirmed. They were not pointed at my face like it had been with Patrick. They were pointed at the ground.

Quote: ‘Our Capital Will Be Jerusalem, Allah Willing’

According to William A. Jacobson at Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion:

Results just announced. 51.73% to 48.27.

You can watch Al-Jazeera English live stream. You also can follow the #Egypt hastag on Twitter.

Now we’ll find out if they still plan on marching on Jerusalem.

Remember, when the protests against Mubarak broke out in January 2011, the Muslim Brotherhood said it would not run a presidential candidate in order to dupe Western useful idiots like The NY Times and the Obama administration into believing the revolution was heading someplace other than Islamist control.

We saw this coming back then, but the mainstream media fell in love again, and covered up what really was going on.

The story is not over, but it is written.

This story does not bode well for Barry’s foreign policy:

Update: Alert — there is a video uploaded to YouTube which has been embedded at many blogs which purports to be President-elect Mohamed Morsi leading a large crowd chanting about marching on Jerusalem. While I can’t be postive, that looks like Cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi (referred to in some of my posts linked above) not Morsi. Memri says it’s cleric Safwat Higazi at a Morsi campaign rally. This doesn’t change the nature of the Muslim Brotherhood, but it’s important to be accurate.

We must pray for the people of Israel!

Brett Kimberlin update: Walker fights back!

Knowing that Aaron Walker had been able to obtain legal representation, I’ve been waiting for this day to come. Walker’s attorney, Reginald Bours, has been retained to fight back against Kimberlin’s bogus peace order which effectively curtailed Walker’s free speech rights.

Stacy McCain has been all over this story and provides the current details HERE. Scroll down through the post for updates. I would recommend you get up to speed if you aren’t already.

The Kimberlin story is also tied to the SWATting story, which has gained much more traction. Governor Sarah Palin even weighed in on the SWATting story during a recent speech in Las Vegas at the RightOnline conference.
