A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George. He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition. He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills. Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George’s son was indeed ill. So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union. He was profusely grateful. But before I hung up I asked George, “Why are you coming to me?” He said, “I have no one else to ask.” Then he said something that astounded me, “Dinesh, you are like a brother to me.”
Actually, George has a real life brother who just happens to be the President of the United States. (George Obama is the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr.) George’s brother is a multimillionaire and the most powerful man in the world.
Obama decided to take a foray into an actual interview yesterday, albeit not from a serious reporter (such as from the WH Press Corps), but from Entertainment Tonight.
The money line was this (emphasis mine):
We’re going around the country, talking about, ‘How do we put people back to work? How do we improve our schools? How do we make sure that we’re producing American energy? How do we lower our debt in a responsible way?’ And I don’t think you or anybody who’s been watching the campaign would say that in any way we have tried to divide the country. We’ve always tried to bring the country together.
This video comes from the new OPSEC PAC and is absolutely worth your time to watch.
I’ll say it right here and right now. Someone in the Obama Administration is guilty of treason, but I suspect it’s more than one and that it also includes President Barack Obama himself. This man so hates our country that he will sacrifice our proud men and women in uniform to further his obscene political goals!
I encourage everyone to do as I’ve done and get this book. I paid $12.99 to download the Kindle version from Amazon.com. I’ll finish the book tomorrow and then turn my attentions to show prep for the next Roderic Deane Show on August 12th at Noon ET. Guess what the topic is?
I’m going to see if I can get Stanley Kurtz to join me on the show. No guarantees, but I’ll give it my best shot! Nonetheless, I’ll be joined by Steel Braddock to talk about Obama’s assault on the suburbs! Join us!
Rush, as usual, nails Barry’s view of the latest, dismal employment numbers:
I played some sound bites from the president an hour ago. He went to the microphones in the White House an hour ago, right at the beginning of this program, and I have to tell you, what we saw today, in Obama’s media appearance and his statement, is a cold-hearted man. I mean this, cold-hearted. We saw a president who is spinning the worst economic recovery numbers in modern history. We didn’t see any compassion. We didn’t see any concern. We didn’t see any caring. We saw a cold, calculating president spinning what is disastrous news into a way that he can benefit from.
There’s nothing in this economic news that ought to benefit anybody. There is nobody anywhere in the United States government who is an architect of this who ought to benefit an iota from what they have done and what they are doing. There is nobody in this regime, nobody in this administration who deserves to benefit from this. And yet here is our cold-hearted, calculating young president showing no compassion whatsoever for the people of this country who are really suffering from his policies. The people in this country who are suffering are doing so because of him, because of his policies.
This piece was posted today at the American Spectator blog and it deserves special mention. Rep. Paul Ryan as been a tireless advocate of the free enterprise system. Here is the conclusion of his piece:
The moral case for individual initiative in a free economy holds that people have a God-given right to use their creativity to produce things that improve our lives. A free economy and strong communities honor the dignity of every person, rewarding effort with justice, promoting upward mobility, and building solidarity among citizens. The President’s collective vision of a government-centered society — reflected in his troubling rhetoric and failed policies — divides class against class and belittles fair rewards for workers, entrepreneurs, and investors—America’s real builders.
We face a defining choice in November. Mitt Romney’s clear vision is very different from the President. America’s founding principles of freedom and equal opportunity will guide his policies as he repairs the damage, which the current administration’s agenda has inflicted on this country. We don’t need to change the nature of America. We need to recommit to our founding principles and rebuild what has been broken — and this comeback begins by replacing the current leadership in the White House.
I would encourage you to read the entire piece HERE.
I was watching PJTV’s Trifecta this week as they were discussing President Obama’s ridiculous assertion that business owners don’t really build their own businesses. They emphasized that when the president ignores his handlers and goes off of his TelePrompter, we get an insight into what he really believes about the relationship between American business owners and the government.
They also touched on the irony of these words by President Obama:
The internet didn’t get invented on its own, government research created the internet so that all the companies could make money off of the internet.
Historically, the internet was not developed for commerce; in 1962, it was needed to protect military research data in the event of a nuclear attack. The irony is that the Department of Defense footed the bill for the for the development of the internet, and today the Department of Defense is the only portion of government that President Obama has shown any desire to reduce.
