Where Does It End, But In Ruins?

Here is the monologue from today’s Roderic Deane Show.

In case you haven’t heard, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray, D-WA, released the Senate budget plan last Tuesday, claiming it cuts the deficit by almost two trillion dollars. According to an article appearing in the Atlanta Business Chronicle on Thursday:

That budget plan is markedly different from the one announced yesterday by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wis. Instead of cutting $4.6 trillion in federal spending over the next 10 years, the Senate plan would reduce deficits by only $1.85 trillion, half from spending cuts and half from increased tax revenue gained by eliminating various tax breaks.

So, What Now?

Here is the video of the last Roderic Deane Show. I apologize for the odd audio, but the actual show audio was distorted due to a bad microphone cable. It took a while to diagnose the problem after listening to it, but I’ve since been able to remedy the problem.

This audio was picked up from the video camera. Enjoy!

The Roderic Deane Show: Immigration – Ball of Confusion!

Following is the monologue from today’s show:

There is so much going on that’s it’s hard to keep track of it all. The Benghazi affair has become a complete fiasco and I seriously doubt if we’re ever going to get any resolution on it. I hope we do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it dies on the vine of our collective consciousness, although it shouldn’t.

The so-called “fiscal cliff” is all over the news. All I can say about it is this: Republicans, don’t bite. Let’s just go over the “Fiscal Cliff”. How much worse can it be than where we’re at today? Obama is demanding tax increases and has put forth nothing in the way of ideas on reforming entitlements, the elephant in the room. Screw him and all the Democrats in the House and Senate. Let them put THEIR proposals on the table first. Why the hell should Republicans?

No, forget about Benghazi and the “Fiscal Cliff”. I want to talk about immigration, the next big thing for Republicans to cave on. The GOP elite seems to think that if they pander to Hispanics, they’ll garner more votes. I don’t think so.

The Roderic Deane Show: The Benghazi Head Fake

Following is the monologue from today’s show:

Have you ever heard the expression “Something is something rotten in Denmark”? Well, I’m here to tell you there’s something rotten in the White House and it’s name is integrity. I’ve talked about Benghazi on several past shows, but this subject continues to rear its ugly head again and again. As far as I’m concerned, it can continue to be a topic until we receive answers on what really happened.

What I find very disturbing is the pattern of deceit and obfuscation that continues to pour out of the Obama administration. Do you like that word, obfuscation? It means this, according to Dictionary.com:

“The act or an instance of making something obscure, dark, or difficult to understand.”

The Roderic Deane Show: Time is of the Essence!

Following is the monologue from today’s show:

Well, well, well! As of right now, were approximately 58 hours before we start getting election results on the Presidential race. Early voting still drags on in a number of states, but we won’t know anything of any measure until Tuesday’s end, much to the dismay of a lot of East Coast liberals and journalists. Yes, they think voting should be extended due to the consequences of Hurricane Sandy. I think they’d be more worried about all those people who have been dealt a horrible blow by this storm, but then again, maybe that’s just me.

Most of the pollsters have finished their polling, awaiting the Election Day results along with the rest of us. What have they told us? Absolutely nothing! No one can predict what people will do in the voting booth when confronted with their own conscience and judgement. No one! If the pollsters could tell us who our elected officials would be before they’re even elected, why have elections?

This drives the liberal, lamestream media absolutely crazy! They’re rapidly losing their ability to dictate the narrative to the electorate, so they invest millions into bringing you worthless polling data, skewed to make it seem like their preferred results are inevitable. I’m here to tell you, they aren’t! You will decide this election, not some numbskull that landed a sweet contract with MSNBC or CNN to go on the air and report their own opinions as if they were fact.

One of the issues I often hear from people, especially young voters, is that my single vote doesn’t really count for much, so what difference does it make it I vote or not? Remember what Dr. Fay told us in her intro, an estimated 30 million evangelicals sat out the 2008 election. Now, I don’t know 30 million evangelicals, but I know a few. What if those few had taken a different mindset, one that says I MUST vote? What if only half of those evangelicals had taken that same mindset? Would Barack Obama had won the election? Who knows? Maybe they would have split their vote between Obama and McCain back in 2008, but what about now? Would the results be the same?

Every vote matters because it’s the mindset that matters. It is one of the most solemn and important civic duties that you can exercise within our society. I way solemn because of the atmosphere present when you do vote. It’s generally very orderly, but it’s also pretty doggoned quiet. People standing in line will talk, but they do so in hushed tones as they get nearer to the voting booth. Maybe it’s different in places other than where I’ve voted, but I don’t think so.

Don’t ever squander or take lightly your ability to vote. Look at some of the latest videos I’ve posted on my blog. The one thing that comes out loud and clear is the sense of urgency! The Chuck Norris video is there, a great Bill Whittle video was posted a few days ago and there are many others. People that take voting seriously are worried, as am I. We can’t allow this tremendous experiment in liberty that we call the United States of America, fall into darkness…EVER! It truly is the last, best hope of mankind!

The Roderic Deane Show: Why Should Benghazi Matter?

Here is the monologue from today’s show:

Why should Benghazi matter? I’ve been stewing about that for the last month or so. I was horrified to see the pictures of Christopher Stevens being dragged out of the building in the aftermath of the attack. Worse yet is thinking about what they did to him in the 3 hours it took before he reached the hospital. I’ve heard some stories, but really don’t want to know anything further. It’s just too heartbreaking.

As more information comes to light, we now know how much of a hero Christopher Stephens and his staff were. They knew that security was bad, but traveled to Benghazi anyway, to help evacuate those staffing the consulate.

The Roderic Deane Show: Congressman Michael Burgess

Here is the monologue from today’s show:

Hailing from Texas, I’ve always wanted to interview my Congressman and today’s the day you get to hear that conversation. I spoke with Dr. Michael Burgess, of the 26th District in Texas, last Thursday evening. I’ve found myself limited in the ability to book guests for a live show, so I’ve started to compensate with pre-recorded interviews, which I’ve done recently and will continue to do so. Since most of you listen to this show as a podcast anyway, I thought it better to provide the content than the push to have it live.

Although I’ve met Congressman Burgess in the past, I only recently spoke with him about coming on the show. I first broached the idea at a rally for Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, just before Ted’s run-off election on July 31st, which Ted won decisively! I saw the Congressman again at a local GOP event and was able to nail down the details for my interview.

Then, at a local Republican Club meeting, I had the good fortune of meeting a young man, only 13 years-old, that was as plugged into politics as anyone I’ve ever met. He first became interested in politics when he was 9 and he’ll be joining me live after my interview with Congressman Burgess to provide his unique perspective.

I had originally hoped to bring you my conservation with Chuck Heath Sr and Jr about their new book, “Our Sarah – Made in Alaska”, but as it turns out, the publisher embargoed any discussion of the book until after 10:00pm tomorrow. That is immediately after father and son will be on the Hannity Show to discuss the book.

Oh well, I can’t really complain about deferring to Hannity and those of you tuning into Hannity can come over here right afterwards to hear my interview as well. How’s that sound?

In the meantime, take a listen to my interview with Congressman Burgess. He was brimming with disgust from the appalling lack of honesty in the wake of the attack on and murder of our Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. This outrage over the lack of security and failure to react to the advance warning of impending trouble is a major indictment of Obama’s failed foreign policy. Blaming the violence on some ridiculous movie is absurd and only serves to give more attention to the movie than it deserves.
