I just confirmed with friends that Sarah Steelman CAN’T run as an independent due to Missouri’s sore loser law.

Looks like we’re probably stuck with McCaskill. CRAP!

We have a new wrinkle. Sarah Steelman can’t run as a write-in candidate, based on the “sore loser” laws of Missouri. She could run as a candidate for another party, however, namely, the Constitution Party of Missouri. They’ve registered for the U.S. Senate, although they didn’t put forth a candidate in the primary, which is their prerogative. They could slate a candidate for the general, however.

Boy howdy! Sarah Palin agrees with me.
